*John Deere tractors (A, AR-AO, B, BR-BO, G) built before 1940 will generally require a 7/8" adapter, these same tractors built 1940 and newer will generally require an 18mm adapter.

Note on all JOHN DEERE tractors: Generally, tractors built 1940-1970 will take an 18mm adapter, tractors built between 1925-1939 will take 7/8" adapters. One exception to this rule is the JOHN DEERE "D" which never took an 18mm.

Reference Fitting Charts
This cross-reference chart is used for 18mm and 7/8" adapters. Use it as a guide only. There are many more plugs to choose from, these are the more common ones.
This chart is used for the 1/2" npt, 3/4" npt, and Allison adapters. These plugs are "extended reach" to better position the 14 mm plug to the correct depth in the cylinder. The plugs in the above chart will also work; they are just a little shorter.
